The Ring o' Bells
130 CHURCH LANE · MARPLE · 0161 427 2300

Your traditional local pub & restaurant where good beer, great food and a warm welcome is guaranteed.

.

Whilst The Ring o' Bells is popular with passing boaters and holiday makers and gives a warm welcome to visitors, at heart it is very much a community pub with a loyal and regular clientele. This is reflected in the support received for the pub's regular events:

Charity Fun Quizzes

Every Wednesday  you can test your knowledge by taking part in the Ringers' Charity Fun Quiz.

Every week all the money raised is given to that particular week's chosen charity, which in the past have included:

Marple Scouts, The Poppy Appeal, Cystic Fibrosis, Multiple Sclerosis, All Saints' School, New Horizons, Cancer Research, Guide Dogs for the Blind and many more.....

If you have a charity to propose just ask at the bar and they will give you details of how to get on the list. It's easy so why not support your favourite charity and have a great night whilst doing it?

The quiz start at 9.00p.m. and there is a charge of just £1 per person to take part. The winners get a voucher worth £12.50 to spend behind the bar, runners up get a £7.50 voucher. All proceeds go the the charity.

Marple & District Darts & Crib League

Every Monday night during the season sees the Ring o' Bells darts & crib team taking on another local pub or club in a bid to win the Marple & District Darts & Crib championship.

Played in a competitive, yet friendly atmosphere, 7 individual darts players complete the best of 3 legs of 501 whilst three crib pairs from each team compete in the match.

As in most competitions legs are played on a home and away basis with the opposition coming from Marple, Marple Bridge, High Lane, Hazel Grove and Bredbury.

Anyone interested in signing on for either darts, crib or both should contact Peter at the Ring o' Bells.
